Well, my friends. It looks like we are once back in the battlefield of World War Two as the famed (elite) sniper Karl Fairburne, in an attempt to thwart the Nazi invasion and once again… kill Hitler (preferably via testicular execution). So as with many anticipated releases, we want to know what do you think of Sniper Elite 5 so far?
It’s fair to say that Sniper Elite 5 was one of the most anticipated games of May 2022. But to be fair, there weren't a whole lot of other exciting games coming out this month. Still though, a lot of us have been excited to play it, and current critic scores put it as currently the best in the series. So how do you feel about it?
Of course, for a game about being a stealthy sniper, the stealth and sniping mechanics should be on point. They’ve been largely unchanged for the past few games, but with a few neat additions: there’s now gun customization, an invasion mode, co-op integration, and of course the return of the infamous (and improved) bullet cam.
Speaking of multiplayer though, there’s also the new soulslike-like Invasion mechanic, which sees another player enter your game as an enemy sniper and try to take you down themselves. It seems like an interesting feature, and would be great to hear what your thoughts are on it and whether you enabled it at first, turned it off after a while, or simply have not yet enabled it.
So what do you think of Sniper Elite 5 so far? Are you enjoying it? How does it feel in comparison to the other games in the series? Which one was your favorite of the previous games? And how do you feel about the new Invasion mode? Let’s debate!
