Since 2019 fans have been clamoring about a sequel to the surprise hit Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Since then we haven’t heard anything about Respawn’s follow up, but we knew it was definitely happening. Now EA has finally revealed the highly anticipated sequel with a brand new teaser trailer.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor officially launches 2023. We currently have no specific release window other than that, so it could be early in the year or later. The new teaser also shows no gameplay, and is simply a cinematic introducing the return of the titular hero Cal Kestis, as well as what the sequel might be about…

No details have been revealed yet on when we might expect some actual gameplay, though the official Game Director, Stig Asmussen, said that it would be darker in tone compared to Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order (with a clear theme of ‘survival’, if you couldn’t guess by the title already). It will also likely support ray tracing, and feature the same souls-lite combat as before.

What do you think? Are you excited for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor? When do you think it will be released in 2023? And when do you think we’ll see some actual gameplay? What did you think of Fallen Order? Let us know!
