Bethesda is hard at work on their next big game coming next year: the epic Sci-Fi RPG that recently showed off its first look at gameplay in the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022. Since then fans have been asking a lot of questions, which Todd Howard recently answered, but there’s another lingering question: what’s next for Bethesda?

Obviously after Starfield Bethesda will begin work on The Elder Scrolls 6, but beyond that Howard said that they will definitely be returning to the world of nukes and ghouls with Fallout 5. Obviously, Howard did not divulge in any more details other than that, so it’s anyone’s guess what FO5 will actually be about.

Yes, Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production,” Howard said in a recent interview, “and, you know, we’re going to be doing Fallout 5 after that, so our slate’s pretty full going forward for a while. We have some other projects that we look at from time to time as well.

So Fallout 5 is definitely coming, but not until Elder Scrolls VI finally launches, which itself will probably be a very long time until that comes out anyway. Development time for these titles get longer with each new release, so if Bethesda keeps going at the exact same pace right now it could be 2030 before we see ES6 launch, let alone Fallout V.

What do you think? Are you excited for another Fallout game? What new and returning features would you like to see in it? And when do you think The Elder Scrolls 6 will be released? Let us know your thoughts!

Are you excited for another Fallout game?

When do you think The Elder Scrolls 6 will launch?

About that poll, idk if you folks haven't read the article or are just very optimistic, but the game is still in PRE-Production, not even properly in developement. Realistically I think we're gonna see it somewhere in between 2028 and 2031. No way in hell earlier than 2027.

Unfortunately, I think you are right. If it was in development, I'd have some hope, but since it's in pre-production 2027-28 is the best-case scenario.

I am making $92 an hour working from home. i was greatly surprised at the same time as my neighbour advised me she changed into averaging $ninety five however I see the way it works now. I experience mass freedom now that I’m my non-public boss.

Honestly I think they have been plugging away at the ES6 game for years. Maybe not full focus, but it might be out in 2024 if they have been putting some real work into it! That said, I won't get my hopes up, but ya never know

I am patiently waiting for that Fallout game though :D

It's in pre-production, no way in hell is it gonna be out that early. My guess is somewhere around 2030.

Lets have some fun guessing, I guess. :-D My guess would be that it will took at least 4 years post Starfield to focus development more on TES6 and get it done, even if it was developed for some time in parallel with Starfield. And if Starfiled is 2023, that means 2027, maybe at earliest late 2026 for holidays. Though I doubt it will also be longer than till 2029 at worst. Depends on delays and how ambitious they will get with it. If it will be before 2026, I would say to prepare for very rushed release. Which hopefully under Microsoft won't happen.
