Battlefield 2042 is only focus for DICE right now, no other games in development

The infamous studio DICE may be known mostly for their work on the Battlefield games (and the recent Star Wars Battlefront titles), but they’re also known for their work a couple obscure little titles known as Mirror’s Edge. Unfortunately, if you were hoping for an ME sequel soon, or any other game from DICE, you may have to wait a while…

That’s because DICE is currently putting all their focus into Battlefield 2042 and noted that there is “no time for anything else.” In a recent interview, DICE’s General Manager Rebecka Coutaz explained how the team is making sure BF2042 lives up to the caliber of the iconic developer and that they would like to be “the first-person shooter powerhouse that DICE deserves to be.

After Battlefield2042’s disappointing launch, rumors were spread that EA had abandoned the game and were ready to move on already, but Coutaz says otherwise: “We couldn't do that to our players and we couldn't do that to ourselves,” she said. “I don't want to use the word revenge because it's too strong in English, but you know, we cannot leave it like that. As I said, we owe it to our players.

So if you were worried Battlefield 2042 was slowly being pushed aside already, then it seems like DICE is really committed to improving the game. Apparently, the recent launch of Season 1 has received good feedback from players, so it’s currently on an upward trajectory. But if you were hoping for another game in the Mirror’s Edge series, it looks like we may never get to see it.

What do you think? Have you played Season 1 of Battlefield 2042? Is it better than it was at launch? Are you excited for more content for the game? And would you be interested in another Mirror’s Edge game? Let us know!

Is Battlefield 2042 better than it was at launch?

Would you be interested in another Mirrors Edge game?

I make more then $12,000 a month online. It’s enough to comfortably replace my old jobs income, especially considering I only work about 11 to 12 hours a week from home. I was amazed how easy it was after I tried it…

:) AND GOOD LUCK.:)

This will keep the game installed on my system and I'll check in from time to time. !^%# happens, hopefully the old battlefield that people want will return.

A lot of people aren't interested in Mirror's Edge? I mean the story is servicable and the gameplay was so much fun but I guess I am in the minority.

This is actually such a bad lie so what they're saying as a business that they haven't even started pre preduction on the next battlefield (dev time about 3 years) so that everyone onboard has been fixing 2042 all this time and released 1 map and fixed bugs? The facts don't add up, I'm pretty sure 2042 has a skeleton crew that is trying to meet the minimum for the "season of content" they already asked money for. It doesn't take a scientist to figure out that EA/Dice sees the games as a failure and would rather use their resources elsewhere.

Makes sense, they have to finish the development of game first after all.
