It’s lights on and here we go! At least that’s how the saying goes I think? Either way, the latest entry in the F1 series by Codemasters is finally here after a lot of anticipation as usual. F1 22 follows up the very well received (and now slightly different name?) F1 2021, but we want to know what do you think of F1 22 so far?

After EA bought Codemasters a lot of people were rightly scared they would get their money-hungering hands on the beloved F1 franchise, but F1 2021 thankfully proved they weren’t going to meddle too much. At least until F1 22, which seems to have shoehorned in some Live Service features. So how do you feel about that?

Aside from that though, the obvious other question is how does F1 2022 compare to F1 21? Is it much better? Or is it only slightly better? Is it worse for some reason? Would you recommend it to a friend, a new player, or a long-time fan? What improvements and new features do you like/dislike?

This year also includes a VR mode finally, which sounds like a recipe for stomach-churning nausea given the constant tight turns and fast speeds that could disconnect your brain’s signals from your body’s feelings. Then again, it could make an already immersive racing sim into an even more immersive one. So tell us your thoughts if you’ve tried it!

So what do you think of F1 22 so far? Is it better or worse than F1 2021? What do you think of the new features? How is the VR mode? Let’s debate!

What do you think of F1 22 so far?
