I know what you’re thinking: this is a PC gaming news site, what the hell is a TV series trailer doing here? Well, in any normal circumstance you’d be right, but we’re talking about an adaptation of one of the most popular game franchises in the world. Plus who doesn’t like a good bit of TV every now and then?
We may still be waiting for The Last Of Us: Part 1 Remake to come to PCs finally, but the PlayStation hit is still getting a TV show. Thankfully, PC players will hopefully get a chance to experience the game before the show premieres, but in the meantime HBO has released a short teaser video of what’s to come for HBO Max, including a short glimpse of the highly anticipated show:

It isn’t much, unfortunately, and the scene they chose to show is ripped straight from the first game, and a very iconic one at that. So understandably many die hard fans are going wild over the few precious seconds we saw. Hopefully we’ll get to see more of it in the coming months before it premieres in 2023.

Because I've seen the gameplay already, I don't feel the connection to the actors and the connection between them, especially reusing lines from the game makes this look like the "manga, anime, netflix adaption" meme, where every further step is just worse than the previous one.

I'm curious but also very cautious about the TLoU series, it could be great, but there is a not so insignificant chance it will suck majorly.
