Felix, the man behind Game-Debate, the man who is the sole reason that we are even here, communicating, gaming and having fun together.
Felix himself has been thanking, thanking and thanking. However, the person that deserves the biggest thanks for all his great effort, hasn't received one directly. (of course this is already done on a personal note multiple times!)
So due to this, I decided to create this blog, and let Felix know how much we appreciate his hard work.
Game-Debate is the home of many, the home of gamers, tech-freaks, writers. Everyone has a great reason of being here; Game-Debate makes you feel home. Why? Because Felix managed to set up and lead a great community of united gamers. Felix, you've given us a place to talk to people with the same interests, or to people with completely interests for that matter. But that's not all; you've given us the freedom to express our creativity! Whether that be writing, drawing, singing on vent or by being the most funny person on earth, you give us the opportunity to express it. Not only that, you support each on of us and encourage us to go on, improve and provide (perhaps indirectly through the community) feedback. Thanks Felix Nova, for bringing this great place called Game-Debate to us!
But that's not all, since I wanted to give the admin team the chance of thanking Felix as well, since they deserve that chance. I've asked each admin member to assemble some lines in which they show their gratitude. Here they are. (some admins are missing, due to being new, busy or having missed the message's. Still, I can speak for each admin member if I say thank you!)
Felix is one of the most kind persons I've had the chance to meet. The constant work he puts at working on GD is translated to the great community he has built. GD truly is like a second family; I've spent a fair amount of time here, and that's because soon after I joined I realized how great of a site Game-Debate is, and nothing would be possible without Felix's honest effort of making one of the friendliest and most helpful website's out there. Game-Debate has become an important part of my life, to think this is thanks to a hardworking man with great principles and an even greater enthusiasm towards what he does everyday. I am very thankful to Felix, for giving me the chance of recently becoming an admin, it's a wonderful experience for a frequent user like myself and that helped me realize just how awesome Felix is for putting the site together and giving us GDers the chance of being part of the awesome family that Game-Debate is.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for not giving up on me. You were there when my personal life went down the drain. You even allowed me to call you in the darkest hours of my life, in the middle of the night. You showed me that even though GD is "just" an online community, we're all friends here.
You're more than just the creator of an awesome gaming site to me. You're my mentor, my friend, my support, even my father.
GD Rockstar, Tero
I'm not sure how you can do so much work; playing video games, developing/modifying GD, and being with your family, friends. You're like a hero to me, and I think for all of us too. Not only that, your a funny person most of his times, I don't know if it's just me, but I've never seen him in a sad mode. What I would like to say is that, thank you for all your work, developing/modifying GD. I've enjoyed all of it, wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
I would like to thank Felix for the great opportunity he has given me by allowing me to be part of the GD Admin Crew and most importantly by letting me take the leading role on one of the most important departments: the hardware department. I have learned a lot in this past year with the contributions I have done which force me (in a good way) to research the most complex matters so I can deliver the most accurate information on each hardware page, as well as provide an accurate rank and thus raising the already astonishing accuracy of the "Can I Run Tool".
I would also like to thank him for being a great leader by spending time teaching me about the most important aspects of daily routine between a website administrator and its members as well as always having an ear available to listen to my problems and for overall making the GD Team a family.
I could not stop typing without one last thanks: listening to my ideas and turning them into reality. He is always open to suggestions and most of my ideas have become a reality. GD is part of me - a piece of me thanks to that too.
Felix has created a great community that is GD and to which I gladly contribute each day. GD is a place I can call home and all thanks to a man that decided he wanted more than just being someone's employee and started a project of his own.
Thank you Felix!
You're awesome, Felix! It takes a lot of work and patience to make a large website like GD and keep it running! Just keep up the good work, we all want 2013 to be the best year for you and GD as a whole.
Wow...what a wonderful thing to wake up to on a morning.
Thats very kind of all of you.
I work long hours and all days to add and design new features for the site and try to keep the server to this wonderful place turned on. Those features are often what draws people to the site in the first place.
But what I am proudest of is that all the newcomers will then meet the community, you guys, and well...when that happens they will never want to leave. Everyone is so nice, welcoming and helpful, it is what we are all looking for from an online community, one that can really help you when you are unsure about things.
All the comments are really heart warming and some are pretty darned funny. When I am having a hard day I will pop back here to read all of them to make me know what people can really do to each others heart.
