The ESL have announced a new tournament for this year which has the largest Prize pool for DOTA 2 yet (Outside the international of course).
European teams will compete for $156,000 US in each game throughout the year...
More details on how the tournament will be run should be released soon, although we have been told that there will be several days of matches almost every week, the primary ones of which will be casted by their new DOTA 2 caster. There will also be four live event finals annually, all streamed on ESL TV.
The tournament is EU only at the moment, but the ESL are looking into allowing Asian and US teams in the future.
