Neverwinter, the online MMORPG based off the classic Dungeons and Dragons location, has released details about the upcoming closed and open Beta periods.
They also mention a few ways to guarantee getting in as well...
The plan is for three weekends of stress testing in Closed Beta, on the 8th-10th of February, the 8th-10th of March, and the final one on the 22nd-24th of March. Entry to the weekends can be gained via various codes being given out at events or giveaways - Keep an eye on Twitter!
However, the other way to access the events is by purchasing a 'Founder' Pack, which also gives you early access to the Open Beta, and the in game "Founder" title. A few in-game items round out the pack, priced at a hefty $60.
For those with even more cash to spend, a unique race subtype is available for people who buy the "Hero of the North" pack, along with even more unique in game items, the ability to bring a friend to the closed beta weekends, and even earlier access to the open beta (5 days rather than 3). The cost for the pack? $200.
It's nice to show your support for free MMO's, but is the price too high? What do you guys think?

The price is quite high, especially considering MMO's have a really hard time to survive with competition of World of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2. Nevertheless, I might try a beta ;)

Ridiculous price for any game if you ask me... Well maybe not for a modern Fallout 2 :D
