Rockstar have just announced that the delayed Grand Theft Auto V now has an official release date - 17th September.
They apologise for the game being late, but claim "It will be worth the extra time"...
On top of that, the GTA V team remind us that the game is very ambitious and complex, and simply wouldn't have been polished enough to release at the earlier date.
Still no word on the PC version release date, if any. Maybe they are postponing the release to allow for time to put the PC version together too! We can always hope, right?

What do you guys reckon, is GTA 5 coming out later because Rockstar are going to sort out a PC version for time of release or are they just adding some spit and polish to what is likely to be a hugely complex title already?
This Rockstar post clarifies:
"To those of you saying or seeing various conspiracy theories about there being some other ulterior motive for this delay, rest assured that they’re all nonsense – literally the only reason we’ve delayed the release is because we want the game to be as good as it needs to be."
