Spec Ops: The Line was viewed before release as another bland FPS, but surprised critics with it's judging morality and interesting storyline.
Well Yager, the developers of Spec Ops, have licensed one of the first copies of the Unreal Engine 4 to use in their next as-yet unannounced game...
This isn't a hugely surprising move; Spec Ops was made with Unreal Engine 3 after all. It does tell us that the upcoming game is almost certainly aiming for next-generation consoles and the PC.
Although Yager have said nothing about the upcoming game, they have been putting out some enlightening job listings: there's a post for a "monetization designer", who's job will be to help design microtransactions into the game, but "without negatively affecting game-balance or segregating our player base".
Do you guys think this upcoming game will be a direct sequel to Spec Ops? Or something completely different?
