Graphics Card Brand ATI Becomes AMD

Written by Felix Nova on Tue, Aug 31, 2010 7:38 AM

AMD has dissolved the ATI brand and consolidated ATI brands, such as Radeon and FirePro under the AMD main brand.

Under the new branding scheme, new graphics products AMD launches (such as the upcoming Radeon HD 6000 series), will do away with "ATI" completely from the logo and marketing material.

AMD say this is "evolution of the AMD brand portfolio", and consolidation of their primary trade names will result in lower marketing costs and increased brand awareness.

Game-Debate will update the site to reflect this name change over the coming weeks.
