THQ has been waiting for the final auction of their properties before they can finally say they're done and closed, and the results are in.

Nordic Games has picked up a large number of titles, such as Darksiders and Destroy All Humans, and Gearbox has picked up the Homeworld series...

It seems that Gearbox really wanted that IP as well; they paid $1.35 million for the privilege, which vastly outbids what TeamPixel rustled up for the IP with their community drive.

Nordic games however was the largest bidder, buying most of the available properties for a smooth $4.9 million. Already, the studio is asking for player feedback on the continuation of the Darksiders and Red Faction series, among others.

In a statement:
"First and foremost we are very happy about this deal which also turns over a new leaf for the entire Nordic Games Group. In the long term, we either want to cooperate with the original creators or best possible developers in order to work on sequels or additional content for these titles. A very important point for us is not to dash into several self-financed multi-million dollar projects right away, but rather to continue our in-depth analysis of all titles and carefully selecting different financing models for developing new installments of acquired IPs."

This all sounds promising, and suggests that they aren't going to make a bunch of rehashes just for some quick cash, but appreciate the potential strength of the IP's they own.

Here's the full list of IP's that Nordic picked up, except for Drawn to Life, which was picked up by 505 Games:

I'm glad Crytek didn't get Darksiders IP, Darksiders III is far better title than DarkCry III. By the way what are the games this Nordic Games published?

They've published the Spellforce games, the Painkiller games, and Torchlight. They've done other things, but not very big games.

Where's Homefront which is suppose to be getting a sequel this year, and a PC exclusive destroy all humans reboot would be nice.
