Call of Duty: Ghosts, as expected, has had a load of details dropped last night, although they were a little overshadowed by the Xbox One.
There's a release trailer on top of this new information, including the fact that the game is being made on a completely new engine...
The game starts with the attack from an Ultranationalist group on the USA, leaving the US military crippled. You are part of an elite group; the only tactical squad that survived. The game will feature 3 playable characters, much like in the previous Call Of Duty games. You also have a dog at your side, who will help in breaching enemy positions and stealth recon of your objective. The dog, as you can see in the trailer, looks very realistic - because it's actually been mo-capped in the same way as the actors!
Take a look at the trailer:
The AI has been fully remade and now enemies will try to find innovative ways to off you. In most games a particular spawned enemy will attack or flank a particular character. But this has been upgraded in this installment and now they can flank you from multiple directions and even lay down traps to catch you. The environment has many new interactable portions, which the AI will use intelligently - so you'll have to stay one step ahead!
The game is looking rather stunning, with their new engine really showing off it's power during last night's presentation. Every aspect of the environment can be interacted with.
Multiplayer games can now support 64 max players (an increase from 32 players on the previous console). The matches can have real time natural calamities like earthquakes and avalanches, which combine well with the destructible terrain that the game will have.
So, are you excited for this next release in the series? Will the Xbox One do the game justice, and does the game make a good enough use of the system? Tell us your thoughts!
