It was quite early in the year when Atari filed for bankruptcy, and they had initially intended to sell all of their property as one package.

However, bidders proved reluctant, meaning Atari now want to sell of their IP's one by one, including well known brands such as Rollercoaster Tycoon and Total Annihilation...

Although bids were made on the properties, Atari didn't think they were high enough, leading to this new sale. Rollercoaster Tycoon is the most valuble of the brands, which will go for $3.5 million at the least, and possibly more. Test Drive, the series of racing games, will start the bids at $1.5 million.

Interestingly, Total Annihilation, a game which has many spiritual successors including the currently in development Planetary Annihilation, could sell for as low as $250,000.

Some of Atari's assets will be sold outside of auction, due to their minor value compared to the larger IP's Atari owned.

So, with old franchises up for grabs, we could be seeing purchases and reboots - which games would you like to see remade? Tell us below!

Which of these do you want to see remade?

Someone WILL die if EA is actually buying this and screwing it over like they did with the new simcity (launch).

I seriously hope its not EA, how does EA mess up their games so much and is not yet bankrupt?
