As any racing fan will know, there is a moment in all of the best games, when you just start to get the hang of drifting; not too much, not too little, that perfect balance point that gets you cleanly around a curve.

GRID 2 is the sort of game that should deliver these perfect moments, but you have to be able to play it first! Lets see if you can with our GRID 2 System Requirements...

GRID 2 Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows Vista

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+

RAM: 2GB System Memory

GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT or ATI Radeon HD 2600

DX: DirectX 11

HDD: 15 GB Free Hard Drive Space

GRID 2 Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 7 64bit

CPU: Intel Core i7-920 2.67GHz or AMD Athlon FX-4350

RAM: 4GB System Memory

GPU RAM: 1GB Graphics Memory

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti or Radeon HD 6770

DX: DirectX 11

An interesting point here is that the min specs show an 8600 GT which actually doesn't support DX11, which is also listed amongst the min requirements for GRID 2. As expected there is also a fair chunk of required hard disk space required for GRID2, 15GB. Nowadays, where a lot of people download their games these huge game sizes really do matter.

GRID 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the original GRID racing game, and will feature the usual assortment of modes, such as GT races and Demolition Derby's, all on the latest tracks and the hottest cars from around the world. The game is releasing on the 31st everywhere but the US, along with 3 DLC's, giving you more cars and tracks.

What do you guys think of the game, will it be a worthy successor? How gorgeous are you expecting this game to be? Tell us your thoughts!

lol that can actually happen with games. Like with The Sims 3, if you got too many FPS then the game would become unplayable because of the tearing on the screen, and there was no V-Sync setting.

jayjay, just force VSync via your AMD CCC or your NVidia Control Panel. I know CCC allows it, but not too sure for NVidia (AMD User here) :D

You do know that you have the most powerful graphics card right now? and that CPU is good enough for gaming. You can max a LOT of games in the future.

Proper developing I guess, makes the game widely available and doesn't sacrifice the looks in doing so. Optimization will be top notch too I bet, like it was with DiRT 3.

Don't think it is, I mean my brother played it on an nVidia laptop just fine, and it was a rubbish laptop too.
