It's very easy to see photos of crowds and simply not grasp just how big they are; E3 is one of those crowds, hordes of people packed into booths.
The ESA have released the attendance figures for this year's E3, showing a healthy growth on last year...
The official figures say that 48,200 industry professionals, analysts, journalists, and retailers attended the event from 102 different nations. Compare this to the previous years attendance of 45,700 people, showing a reasonable increase of 2500 visitors.
The show was understandably beneficial for the economy of Los Angeles. The event saw 28,000 hotel night room bookings, and of course most visitors will have eaten out. The total revenue generated for the host city is said to be $40 million.
E3 2014 will also held in Los Angeles from June 10 to 12, and will probably break the 50,000 visitors milestone. What do you think, would you guys go if you could? Will E3 start limiting tickets soon? Tell us what you think.
