GTA V might be set to break UK sales records at its release this fall, beating the previous record holder, Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Black Ops sold 1.4 Million units on release day in the UK alone, but looking at the pre-orders for GTA V we could see a new record holder...
Three million copies of the game are being allocated to the UK for fulfillment of pre-orders and early sales, which if all sold will handily beat Black Ops for the fastest selling game. Other games like Bioshock Infinite, Fifa 13 and Black Ops 2 haven't managed to compete for the record.
The current install base of the PS3 and Xbox 360 is around 13 million consoles, meaning Rockstar are preparing for nearly a quarter of all console owners to pick up a copy on the release day - a stunning expectation that may well come true.
It must be said that their sales figures would only be higher if Rockstar chose to release the game for PC, but they still haven't announced anything.
So, are you guys going to pick the game up on day one? Or will you wait a bit for the price to come down first? Tell us below!
