Eleven more games have been lucky enough to get through the gauntlet that is Steam Greenlight, and have thus been given the go-ahead to publish on Steam when complete.

Among the eight games that made it are Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, Vector, and Guncraft...

Cognition is an established series already, with a long and mysterious storyline about a crime detective. Episodes 1, 2 and 3 are already out on the site's homepage, but Greenlighting may give the devs a bit more exposure.

Guncraft is one of the numerous minecraft-voxel-shooter games we've seen recently, but appears to be rising above the pack. Vehicles are available, and are naturally destructable too; along with all the custom environments.

Homesick is a modern point and click adventure game, which starts off very peacefully. Of course, it doesn't stay that way, and when you sleep the nightmares come...

In Verbis Virtus is probably every Skyrim player's fantasy, a game in which you cast magic spells using your microphone. Explore the ancient ruins for more spells and solve puzzles to escape!

Super Motherload is the sequel to the popular free Flash game, and includes huge amounts of extra content, including four player multiplayer. Add on multiple endinge and boss fights, and this is a solid extension of the time eating original.

Vector is a side scrolling free running game, with an aesthetic that is almost a reflection of Mirrors Edge (sorry). Stark colours and smooth free running make the game slick to look at and fluid to play, if you're good enough that is.

Verdun is a World War One first person shooter, set unsurprisingly at the battle of Verdun. Aiming for the historically accurate route, the game looks very impressive for a three man team, although it's still not clear what it will add to the fairly padded genre.

Day One: Garry's Incident is actually nothing to do with Garry's Mod, instead being a survival game in which Garry suddenly finds his world turned around, with curious, trap filled ruins and mystical powers.
