With the game now shut to further backers, everyone should know if they will be able to play the alpha and beta versions of Project CARS.

So, for those of you who are lucky enough, here's the Project CARS System Requirements for the early builds...

Project CARS Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows XP SP3

CPU: Pentium Dual Core E5700 3.0GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+

RAM: 2GB System Memory

GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT or ATI Radeon HD 4750

3-4GB of RAM is recommended, but otherwise this is a fairly standard set of requirements for an early build; especially one that looks as good as Project CARS does! You can also use a 2.4GHz Quad core processor instead of the 3.0 GHZ dual core.

Project CARS, as we've seen multiple times, is a gorgeous game, with a unique funding model - not only is it crowdfunded, but everyone who invests will receive a portion of the game's profits for the next two years. The funding closed recently, so all we have to do now is wait for the game to be finished!

Project CARS will surely be optimised a bit more before release, but the minimum requirements likely won't change too much, due to the impressive graphics of the game, as well as its physics.
