Metro Last Light is the direct sequel to Metro 2033, developed by 4A Games, and has been considered a AAA game even with the comparitively tiny budget.

We were promised many story driven DLCs for the game and the devs have finally delivered with the first pack, titled the Faction Pack...

Lets have a look at the DLC's and what they'll contain.

The Faction Pack

- Defend the battle line as a Reich 'Heavy', equipped with some of the most ruinous weaponry found in the Metro

-As a Special Detachment Sniper of the Redline, players must infiltrate a heavily locked down Reich Outpost at night, using the cover of a deadly radioactive storm

- Lastly, players can take the role of a Polis Ranger in training; your sole job being to explore the vast Library for artifacts and relics. Items you salvage can be exchanged for ammunition, filters and hazard suits, allowing you to explore even deeper into the Library. Rangers are advised to leave a trail of lights so they can find their way back to the base before their precious oxygen runs out

The Faction Pack is the biggest one of the four planned DLCs, but the others are just as interesting; take a look:

- The Tower Pack presents something rather unique for seasoned Metro veterans - a challenge based game mode, with online Leaderboard support, in which players fight their way up the combat simulator known as The Tower

- The Developer Pack boasts a fully stocked Shooting Gallery, the AI Arena and Metro Museum... And a bonus solo mission - The Spiders' Nest - offers some new tools for dealing with an infestation of the skittering Spider mutants

- The Chronicles Pack will feature brand new single player missions that cast the player as three of the game's standout characters - Pavel, Khan and Anna - and explore their side-stories separate from Artyom's adventure

The Faction Pack will be available for $4.99 or 400 Microsoft Points on July 16th for Xbox 360 and PC and on July 17th for PS3, or you can purchase the Season Pass for $14.99, getting all of the DLC as well as a bonus weapon, the Abzats.

Do you guys think the DLC will add a lot to the game, or is it just unnecessary? Which of these packs excite you the most? Tell us below!
