Splinter Cell: Blacklist System Requirements

System Requirements Optimum 1080p PC Build Low vs Ultra Screenshots GPU Performance Chart CPU List That Meet System Requirements GPU List That Meet System Requirements

You guys should have already seen our Splinter Cell: Blacklist Hands On that we got with the game, but we only managed to play the game on console at that point. It looked pretty good on console, as you would expect from Ubi, but didn't give enough to go on when considering the almost limitless boundaries of the PC.

Luckily we've picked up some system specs to help you see how well you might be able to run the next Splinter Cell. So let take a look at the Splinter Cell: Blacklist System Requirements...

Splinter Cell: Blacklist Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows XP

CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core E6400 2.13GHz or AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 5600+

RAM: 2GB System Memory

GPU RAM: 512MB Graphics Memory

GPU: GeForce 8800 GT or ATI Radeon HD 3870

DX: DirectX 9.0c

Overall a fairly routine set of min requirements. The 8800 GT is present as always, and the dual core 2.0+ GHz is a very common baseline. They do want 512MB of Graphics RAM though, so if you're running on older cards make sure you have enough! No news on Blacklists hard drive space requirement, at this point.

We still anticipate more information on Blacklist system requirements as we get ever closer to its release date at the end of next month, August 20/23rd. We will aim to follow up with one of our benchmark analysis of Blacklist as well, once we get some more hands on.

Splinter Cell Blacklist will see the return of Sam Fisher as he strives to save America, as part of the newly created Fourth Echelon strike group. Skilled players will be able to make their way through the missions without spilling a drop of blood, or even letting anyone know you were ever there.

UPDATE - Here is the latest trailer as well

Do you guys think you'll pick up Sam Fisher's latest adventure? Will you play a lot of the multiplayer modes too? Tell us below!

Just curious, according to the Nvidia website, they say that based on their own tests, the recommended card would be a GTX 760. I'm not sure if I can post links, but go to geforce.com and find the Splinter Cell requirements page. Doesn't that seem too high to you guys? Is it just a money grab?

You know NVIDIA would say anything to get more money. Just like how they once put GTX Titan in the recommended requirements for Metro Last Light.

NVIDIA has stated that the 760 will fully max this game
they havent said that no other card below 760 can not max this game

but still 760 is too much,560 & hd 6950 r the best cards for recommended requirmrents :P

i think a 650 ti shud do the job well enough
but the game will use advanced tesselation so a stronger may be required to truly max it on 1080p or higher

Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT or current equivalent GeForce GTX 650, or AMD Radeon HD3870 or better (512MB VRAM with Shader Model 4.0 or higher) these r the minimum requirements listed on nvidia's official site now it means that it will require dx10 gpu in minimum requirements because of that shader model but that's not what i think

yeah, most DX11 do have a DX 10/10.1 card in the minimum reqs, i think that it means that that much processing power is required, but there are always tweaks to run the game in DX 10 or sometimes even 9

Dx9 cards will run it. The reqs disaplayed on GD are the official ones. They were written on a forum by Zack Cooper, Community dev of Ubisoft.

I hope a better console port than Splinter Cell Conviction, that one was horrible! (good game though)

The usual requirements these days for DX11 games...
Well at least it still has DX9. I just hope it is a better port than Conviction. Seriously, I can't even get over 30 FPS on that game with my current rig.

If the game is optimized, maybe High but probably not 60 fps... GPU is what's mainly holding you back.

Thoughtful, or lazy. It is running the 2010 modified Unreal 2.5 engine (from Conviction). Wasn't there talk of Blacklist using the new AnvilNext engine at the start?

Well at this rate I don't think we can complain, So better go with whatever we get! But it would've been sweet on the Anvil Next engine.

Yeah, but there is a difference between a GT630 dx11 1gb and lets just say - GTX650Ti. So I think that this game'll requiere a GTX560 and a Phenom II x4 945 (recomended) or something like that. 10-12GB of free HDD space and 4 gb of ram. This is very optimal requierements I think :) Many games of theese days require something like this. Sorry for my bad english, but I believe that you know what I'm talking about ;)
