EA Details More On Battlefield 4 In Australian Showing

If you happened to be in Australia recently, you may have been one of the lucky ones who got shown all of the Battlefield 4 gameplay footage we've seen so far.

The footage wasn't the interesting bit though, as there was a Q & A session afterwards, in which a lot of new information was revealed...

EB Games Australia hosted the event alongside EA, showcasing the game to the Australian media and 100 lucky fans. After the Angry Sea gameplay and the Fishing in Baku trailers were both shown, David Silverman (Marketing Director for EA) did a Q & A session.

Silverman admitted faults with the BF3 campaign mode, saying it could have been a lot more than it was. Along with the substantial experience they have creating the multiplayer, the team intends to make the BF4 campaign much more emotional and driving, hoping to keep players genuinely invested in the characters. All of the NPC's are getting an upgrade as well, with AI that should act more lifelike.

There was also talk about the multiplayer, and we heard that there will be plenty of maps on release, along with new game modes that will be announced shortly.

The commander mode will of course run on both tablets and PC's, although the PC version will have extra features such as streaming video from the ground. Apart from that, both versions should have the same functionality.

We've also heard that the most popular map from Battlefield 3 was Operation Metro, which means it will be returning to Battlefield 4 in the day 1 DLC pack, Battlefield 4: Second Assault.

Finally, there was confirmation that the requirements for Battlefield 4 will be roughly similar to those of Battlefield 3 - since both run on current gen consoles, which are vastly stretched already as far as capabilities, this isn't too surprising. Also unsurprising is the lack of Oculus Rift support at launch, since the device itself isn't available until next year at the earliest.

Battlefield 4 will be available for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at the end of October or early November, an on next gen consoles as they launch.

Do you guys think that they'll be able to pull off a really engaging singleplayer mode? Are you excited to see Operation Metro returning to BF4? Tell us below!

BF is mainly based on multiplayer mode, as long as the give us a good multiplayer mode i would not be annoid if singlepalyer mode was short or not exiting
and i am not happy with the return of operation metro, for me the best map is ziba tower- assault at karkand
almost all GD members hate operation metro !! this make me wounder who voted for operation metro as the best map

I have to say it would be one hell of a stretch i recommend you skip it maybe at 800x600 and lowest settings for a playable frame rate but that wouldn't be very enjoyable :/

So they showcased it in Australia and what did they say? Look at this awesome game- it's so awesome, it's going to get banned. But don't be angry, you wouldn't have been able to afford it in the first place.

So they think Metro is a fan favorite, EA stop listening to a very small segment of the players, the majority hates it.

Oh yeah, because getting literally dozens of grenades tossed at your entire team that are all huddled up in a corridor and then dying so many times without getting a single kill is the absolute essence of fun! XD

Not to mention that you can't even use tunnels to swing around,it is just a train wreck of a map, and i usually go even as far as k/d at metro, but its just a long drawn out boring experience.

There are few servers out there with no explosives, that means no rpg/smaw,m320(only smoke),nades,c4..only shooting..I play a lot with recon on metro..I hate when others only use nades and lvg's on metro but if you go on the servers with no explosive its ok. the metro is not a bad map..it's ok when u learn it and u can use that in your advantage.
