Melee combat in games is usually not inspiring, unless the game has been designed around it - which is what Legends Of Aethereus does, giving the combat a very solid feel.
Of course, if you want to explore the huge world, create and customise your own city, and fight devastating monsters, you'll have to meet the Legends Of Aethereus System Requirements...

The recommended requirements are rather high for a non-AAA game, but it has the potential to make the game look very pretty - as a non console title it can afford to make full use of your PC hardware. The minimums are reasonable for today, with quite a small hard drive requirement given what we've seen.
The game appears to be singleplayer, but with a very strong online and co-op/competitive multiplayer aspect. The main draw is the physics based combat, which gets rid of the usual button mashing, with weapons feeling weighty as you swing them (and doing appropriate damage too).
Is heavy melee combat something that you guys have been craving in your games? Have you got some friends you'd like to beat around with a warhammer? Tell us below!

I was interested, but judging from the game's website, I'm gathering that it's mainly an MMORPG that has "single player" aka you can do things without being in a group. Ho-hum.
I swear the health bars on the Front Page Image look like,
Light Sabers :P
When is it coming out?
Later this year :)
is this MMO or single player campaign action RPG?
It says this on the article:
"The game appears to be singleplayer, but with a very strong online and co-op/competitive multiplayer aspect."
I hope it's not to pay per month or 2. If it's not going to buy this, it looks good game, and I hope I can run it at Low settings.
So the combat is much like in Die by the Sword? :)
Die by the Sword? Awesome game! Played it to death. I hope this is similar.
Yeah it was awesome, swinging your sword in random directions :D
How had I not heard of this!? Damn. This looks awesome!
