Lost Planet 3 will see you returning once more to planet E.D.N. III, although far earlier than in previous games. Striving to make the planet habitable, you'll soon realise that all isn't as it seems.

With returning enemies and a storyline explaining the history of the series, this game will be a must for fans - if you can run it. Have a look in our Lost Planet 3 System Requirements...

Lost Planet 3 Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows XP

CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core E6400 2.13GHz or AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 5600+

RAM: 3GB System Memory

GPU: GeForce 9800 GT or ATI Radeon HD 4770

DX: DirectX 9.0c

HDD: 16GB Free Hard Drive

Lost Planet 3 Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 7 64bit

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66GHz or AMD Athlon II X4 630

RAM: 8GB System Memory

GPU: GeForce GTX 460 or ATI Radeon HD 6850

DX: DirectX 9.0c

Well, those recommended requirements aren't messing around, asking for a hefty 8GB of RAM as well as a potent quad core. The minimums are also fairly high, but with the 9800 GT not being much better than the 8800, they aren't too bad.

Lost Planet 3 is a third person action game, set to release on the 30th of August.

So do you guys think you'll be returning to see the history of E.D.N. III? What do you think of the series overall? Tell us below!

I'm not really that excited to play this game, but since I'm a fan of the franchise (LP1 was awesome, LP2 not so much, I enjoy deep single player stories more than multiplayer) I suppose I'll get it, although for what I've seen on youtube I find it hard to believe that the recommended requirements are that high...
So anyway do you think I'll be able to get decent FPS on high settings?
Thanks in advance!

No way a DX9 game has such high requirements... Many publishers these day simply like putting 8800GT or 9800GT in the minimum specs and GTX460 or 560 in recommended... Even if this game is poorly optimized (which I doubt since it is Unreal Engine 3), people who barely meet the GD adjusted requirements will max it out easily even at high resolutions like yours anas...

yup they simply put 6950 460 6850 560 regardless of the dx version e.g recommended requirements of remember me :P

Since this Unreal Engine 3, even my laptop should run this on medium with textures to very high on my native resolution at 30-40 FPS... I run Dishonoured on high settings at 1280x720 with AF x4 at 26-36 fps on my laptop... But recommended specs for that game on the box here it says:
Core 2 Quad Q6600 or Phenom 9650 4-core
Nvidia 460 or AMD 5850 1024 MB...
That is what it says...
