The X series has long been one of the Elite games in the space sim genre, giving you huge universes to play in as you explore, fight, build and fly through the beautiful, desolate space.

X Rebirth is the latest game to come out of the series, and expands yet again on the previous game, with cloud cities and sun stations to explore; if you meed the X Rebirth System Requirements...

X Rebirth Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows XP 64bit

CPU: Intel Core i3-2100T 2.5GHz or AMD Phenom 9850 Quad Core

RAM: 4GB System Memory

GPU RAM: 512MB Graphics Memory

GPU: GeForce 450 GTS or ATI Radeon HD 4870

DX: DirectX 9

HDD: 6 GB Free Hard Drive Space

X Rebirth Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 7 64bit

CPU: Intel Core i5-2300 2.8GHz or AMD Athlon II X4 760K Black Edition

RAM: 8GB System Memory

GPU RAM: 1GB Graphics Memory

GPU: GeForce GTX 560 Ti or ATI Radeon HD 5870

HDD: 10 GB Free Hard Drive Space

Well, those are some hefty requirements, but if you look at how gorgeous the game is it's no surprise! Needing a modern quad core and 4GB of RAM to even start, low end PC's won't be playing this one.

X Rebirth has been announced with a November 15th release date, so you've got three months yet to drool over footage like this:

Are you guys long term X series fans? Are you desperate to fly around gorgeous cloud cities? Tell us below!

Is it just me or games have started not only using more ram, but also using more CPU (processing) power, just like they did prior to 2007? :D (this isn't really great as it increases the cost of our upgrades, but it might turn interesting in a few years if less powerful gpu will be need)

by the way, this game seems slightly more optimised for AMD/ATI cards and AMD processors too, interesting!

I think we will actually have to wait a while before we start seeing a lot of games with Ivy bridge i5 in recommended... Remember that Core 2 Quad Q6600 and Phenom 9750 and their kin released back in 2007-08 but we saw lots of games with those in recommended only 2010 onward (Hello Metro)...

That's for certain (or shall i say hopefully?)!
Besides, this is quite a heavy game, with a huge world, and the optimisation might be better than the requirements may lead to

This is true... But even though this game has hyped up system requirements, one thing is for sure; lower end PCs are nonetheless screwed...

I'm a project manager for a construction company.

How exciting it must be to be a geologist in the middle of the Mojave desert :p
1st day on the job "I can professionally confirm that this is a desert and the ground is made of sand, so that's it for me today and every day to come" :p
Just kidding. Mining is cool. And I reckon a geologist working for a mining company can make a lot of money if he played his cards right.

Yeah if i can manage to get hired for a few consecutive years and get my Master's I should be set for awhile at least xD, it does get a bit drab, and being so new "Green" means you get the "yeah let's listen to the young punk, but in all reality, just neglect/reject every idea this guy has" attitude, that's always fun :/, but i got to actually hold AN ULTRA-MAFIC IGNEOUS ROCK (nerd-gasm :P) totally worth it :D

Being the green guy is an issue in every profession.
Of course you don't have the experience of the others, but if they're not total idiots they realize that and they should give you a chance to learn. In my job I'm often confronted with having to take charge of new teams of workers everyday. My tactic is always to target the leader of the new group of colleagues and make sure I get a good professional relationship with him by showing that being the green guy also has its advantages. Get their leader on your side and the others will follow swiftly.
Being young generally means you're more in touch with recent technologies and a good portion of enthusiasm.
Play those out and you'll be a part of the team in no time.

Epic advice!!! thanks this will definitely help ;) my relations with the boss-man, but unfortunately my co-workers are not so kind,I guess time coupled with your advice should help, with my actual inclusion of Clark's internal projects, again thank you very much!

Glad I could help. It would have saved me a lot of problems if someone said that to me when I first started ;)
Also, I don't know what kind of colleagues you have, but in the construction world people tend to talk a bit roughly.
Especially to the new guy. It's important that you show you can take it. Don't get angry, don't be offended. If possible, laugh along with them. For example, among the workers I am known to "bite back" so to speak. Mostly, among men, being quick on the draw with your words is a trait ;)

Great another game with hyped up system requirements... Granted those recommended specs seem legit looking at those graphics as well as the render distance, but those minimum specs are just ridiculous...
