Level-5 has announced a new Role-playing game called WonderFlick, which is scheduled to release next year.
The title is Level-5's next big project after the incredible Ni No Kuni. To top it off, it's not going to be a Sony exclusive this time either...
WonderFlick is said to be a cross-platform title, meaning it will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Wii U, along with PS Vita, Android devices and iOS. That is one huge platform, although unfortunately still not reaching PCs.
Akihino Hino is designing the RPG whereas the soundtrack is being helmed by Nobuo Uematsu - who you may remember is the famous composer for many Final Fantasy titles. His scores always hit the right spot and certainly elevates the gaming experience for a whole.
Level-5 announced the game along with a debut trailer:
The trailer certainly has the signature visual look of their previous work, Ni no Kuni. That was a critically-acclaimed game and has sold nearly 1.5 million units. WonderFlick's vision looks to be bigger. It's multi-platform goal will certainly give it a wide audience, giving it the best chance of success.
Also, the PS4, Xbox One and Wii U will support second screen gaming, to add another layer into the game. The PS4 will have you using either a smartphone or tablet; the Xbox One will make use of the SmartGlass feature; and of course the Wii U will incorporate it's built in gamepad screen. An interesting vision for next-gen versions only.
Level-5 will release WonderFlick in 2014; more information will appear in the coming months.
So GD'ers, does WonderFlick sound enticing? Were you impressed enough by Ni No Kuni to trust Level 5 on this new one? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
