Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s final DLC, dubbed ‘Apocalypse’, will be flying in behind enemy lines on PC and PS3 come September 26th a full month after the Xbox 360 release.

You’ll only have forty days after it's release until Call of Duty: Ghosts rears its head, so you’d best hop on board quick…

As usual the DLC will come with four multiplayer maps, as well as a new ‘Zombies’ map for those of the undead persuasion.

The four new maps definitely have a ‘scrapings from the cutting room floor’ vibe to them; featuring two remakes as well as all new maps.

The two remakes are re-skinned and re-worked but are essentially the same design and feel as their originals. Takeoff and Dig are remakes of Stadium and Courtyard from the original Black Ops and World at War respectively.

The two new maps are the ones you’re all really here for and the first, Pod, drops you into a failed Taiwanese utopian community, full of pod-like housing units.

The second is the obligatory snow map, titled Frost, and has you fighting around a quaint European riverside town. It's even complete with sweet shops and truckles of cheese filling window displays, just ready to be beset by destruction.

The new Zombies map ‘Origins’ looks to be the highlight of the Apocalypse DLC, it has you juggling zombie-slaying antics with giant robotic warfare involving mechs and battle tanks in the not so idyllic French countryside.

The DLC will be retailing for £11.49/$14.99 for the individual pack or if you fancy the whole package of four DLC releases it's £34.99/$49.99 for the Season Pass bundle.

Will you be picking this one up or are you willing to just wait a month and pick up Ghosts instead?

jeez, all they do is re-design old and previously played maps from older games, how sad 'cause it seems like a lot of DLCs have been doing that lately, now that's just lazy. Is it too much to ask for NEW maps for my money?

At least they're putting in effort to make it feel new. With such short time, this much is good enough already
Besides, they're listening to fans who want to play old favorite maps again. So blame them.
And we all know damn well nobody buys the DLCs for multiplayer. Zombies is what people care about.

Well, it's not like Ghosts is Treyarch's game, what you say would be dead on if treyarch was making Ghosts and not Infinity Ward.

I'm talking in broad of all games here, even DICE is doing it with BF4.
