An Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag has buccaneered its way onto our doorstep this afternoon, detailing the graphical differences between the current and next-gen versions of Ubisoft's flagship title.
You'll be pleased to know that the next Assassin's outing does look reassuringly lovely; there are a number of features which have piqued our interest for when this title lands on our shores...
The first up is the all new water physics system in place, couple with the claim that it's the most realistic ocean we'll have ever seen. Virtually of course, and it's difficult to argue with them; it uses the Beaufort scale, which are we are reliably informed is how wind and air pressure affect tidal movements. That definitely sounds nice and next-gen to us, even we may not know exactly how it translates through to gameplay.
This is swiftly followed up by advanced lighting and weather conditions, and aspect which looks hugely interesting. The rain effects in particular look incredibly atmospheric, it really seems to add another level of quality to its environments.
Anyway, that's enough drooling for one day, check the video out below to see it in action for yourself!
