DC Universe Online, the mmorpg set around DC comic heroes like Superman and Batman, is opting for a no subscirption fee policy. Little else is known yet but this will mean we can enjoy our caped capers without having to splash out each month. Leaving us that extra cash for spandex.

There is a heroic aim for cross platform server access. Which would mean Playstation, XBox 360 gamers can buddy up with their PC bretheren. Obviously this could also be read as 'the more mature and elite game enhancing PC owners will be persistantly annoyed by jive talking smacktards from the formerly sectioned console club'

I, however, remain very much neutral in such trivial affairs and offer up massive gamer love to all who care to embrace it. Scum

DC Universe Online is currently scheduled for a early to mid 2010 release
