Its not everyday that one of the big 2 graphics card manufacturers releases their next generation of GPUs. As always there has been a ton of speculation surrounding what the new AMD Hawaii graphics cards would look like regarding their specs, and of course, how well they will perform against NVIDIA’s 700-series and its super expensive but heavy hitting Titan.

Well you have come to the right place as AMD's next-generation GPU14 product showcase is here at 20:00 UK time, live from Hawaii...

If you want to see how the comparisons have shaped up so far, based on our early reports, then you can check out our: comparison AMD Radeon R9 290X Vs Nvidia GeForce Titan

And no, we're not in Hawaii, unfortunately, but AMD sure is, as it gears up for the big reveal of its new flagship card, which we expect to be the Radeon R9 290X.

The entire R-200 series is expected to be formally announced today, including the AMD R-240, R-250, R-260, R-270, R-280, and the R-290.

Over the last couple of weeks we've been bringing you the latest rumours on AMD's new line of Hawaii-based GPUs, including the suspecting naming pattern, as well as leaked benchmarks for AMD's top of the line R9 290X GPU. Today at last though, we are going to get the concrete details; juicy specs and pricing information.

Nvidia, AMDs rivals, have been getting in to bed with the giant game publisher, Ubisoft lately, and so its no big surprise that we are hearing rumours regarding some form of product tie between AMD and EA's Battlefield 4 which is due for imminent release. This may possibly take the form of bundling a copy of BF4 with the top Radeon R9 cards when they launch.

Time is ticking down in the red corner, as AMD finishes its preparations to launch its new graphics card series, ending a two-year long wait for fans of the chip manufacturer.

Check out the livestream below from 3PM EST for the full AMD GPU14 Showcase!

LoL,
Im still stuck with my HD 6570 , though it has been very loyal to me.
Recent splinter cell : blacklist is giving me 40 fps on High-ish settings :P
Far cry 3 didnt fare so well , and crysis 3 gave me 30 fps :)

The integrated GPU on the A10-6800K is actually about as good as the HD 6570...

Yep , i use Dual graphics ,
But ,only 30 percent of games give positive results. Most of the games give a negative result of upto 10 fps with dual graphics , and these are mainly the CPU intensive games , Like AC3 , GTA IV, BF3 multiplayer etc. Call of duty games , can be played on dual graphics at high-ish settings , maintaining 40-60 fps.

Nvidia and AMD make much of their profits from middle class GPUs anyway... I'm much more interested in seeing how the successors of the HD 7750 and 7770 compare to their predecessors, both of which had outstanding performance to price ratios...

So is it worth it getting a 7970 right now for like 250 dollars?
I'm building a pc and I really need a GPU..
Also will a 7970 last till like next year april-march, because then i'll be able to buy a R9-290X

Go hard or go home, don't buy gpu's you're going to replace shortly. The i5 has integrated graphics, game on that until the R9 releases in october (one more week) and buy what's the best deal then. Prices are bound to drop even more after the release (****'s cheap already, but hey, might get even cheaper :P)

i agree with debat0r, play on integrated graphics for one more month and you wont regret doing that. time runs out fast, so one single month with integrated graphics will not be that hard. i had to purchase a cheap 2nd hand gpu (gtx 460 gs for 50 bucks) because i had to wait 3+ months...

Idk, 760 beats both 660 and 660ti for an outstanding price, also is close to 670 performance and the 770 for same price as 670 beats 680 and 7970ghz. So i don't see a point for 760ti, for 750 and 750ti I am looking forward them as i wanna see which will bebest price/performance card.

If AMD can keep their word and do what they say then the radeon series may be the way to go. However, I don't see Nvidia sitting back and letting it happen. I think nvidia has something up their sleeve :). Should be a great battle and we should profit from it.
