Visual Concepts and 2K Games latest return return to the NBA franchise has its official system requirements released.

NBA 2K14 looks to be the go-to place to shoot your three-pointers this season, following up last year's mightily impressive outing with improved controls, new signature skill moves for the top players, and enhanced defence for the pros out there.

Despite the fact that the game is coming out on both of the next-gen consoles, it doesn't seem like you'll need to worry about a significant leap over last year's demands. So if you want to know how your rig will keep up with the demands of high-pace game of b-ball then read on for the official NBA 2K14 system requirements...

NBA 2K14 Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows XP

CPU: Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz Single Core processor or Athlon FX55 (2.8 Ghz for Vista/Win 7/Win 8)

RAM: 512MB System Memory (1 GB running on Vista/Win 7/Win 8)

GPU Memory: 128MB Graphics Memory

GPU: NVIDIA 6800 GT or AMD Radeon HD 2400

DX: DirectX 9.0c

HDD: 8 GB Free Hard Drive Space

NBA 2K14 Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 7 64bit

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz Processor or AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4000+

RAM: 2 System Memory

GPU Memory: 512MB Graphics Memory

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or ATI Radeon HD 3850 and above

This yearly update to the classic sports franchise looks like it should be highly playable on nearly all rigs out there. The minimum requirements are very low, suggesting that the game is extremely scalable in terms of on-screen detail.

For those of looking to get the game running and playing how it's suppose to, the recommended system requirements aren't too much of a push for any push bought within the last five years. Those of you sporting an 8800GT and above should be able to get the most out of this game, and the CPU demands aren't particularly taxing either. Anything above those NBA 2K14 recommended specifications should be a bona fide slam dunk.

This is a great game. The community would change if it were completely different every year, and the game wouldn't be a top-notch basketball simulation. mapquest directions
