Take....That....PC Requirements...Some of you may have noticed our news article on the Watch Dogs System Requirements last week. You may well have thought they were asking for some pretty serious PC hardware to get this next gen title to run, right?

And you may have then breathed a sigh of relief when the Ubisoft Tech Director told us that those Watchdogs requirements were not accurate. Well we have a new batch of enormous Watch Dogs system requirements and we can say the previous requirements were pretty close but now you are going to need at least...

Watch Dogs Minimum System Requirements

OS: Win Vista SP2 64bit / Win 7 SP1 64bit / Win 8 64bit

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66Ghz / AMD Phenom II X4 940 3.0Ghz

RAM: 6GB of System Memory

GPU RAM: 1024 VRAM and DX 11 capable GFX with Shader Model 5.0 capable tech

GPU: NVidia GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5770

AUDIO: DX9 capable audio card

Watch Dogs Recommended System Requirements

OS: Win Vista SP2 64bit / Win 7 SP1 64bit / Win 8 64bit

CPU: Core i7 3770 3.5Ghz / AMD FX-8350 4.0Ghz

RAM: 8GB of System Memory

GPU RAM: 2048 VRAM and DX 11 capable GFX with Shader Model 5.0 capable tech

GPU: NVidia GTX 560 ti or AMD Radeon HD 7850

AUDIO: DX9 capable audio card

Suggested graphics cards series that should run Watch Dogs

AMD GPUs: HD5850, HD6000, HD7000, R7 and R9 series

nVidia GPUs: GTX460, GT500, GT600, GT700 series;

Intel: Iris Pro HD 5200

-----------

Whats changed between the last requirements and the current requirements?

The minimum Watch Dogs System Requirements has jumped up from 4GB RAM to needing 6GB of RAM minimum for Watch Dogs.

The minimum Watch Dog processor requirement has jumped from an Intel Q6600 and AMD Phenom X4 9750 up to Intel Q8400 and AMD Phenom II X4 940.

So in short the requirements we posted up last week seem pretty accurate apart from you actually need a little bit more powerful computer to run Watch Dogs.

If you would like to check out the article from last week then visit Watch Dogs 1st News Article on System Requirements

Whats your thoughts on these heightened Watch Dogs requirements and do you think your PC can run this next gen title?

If you are not sure then pop over to our Watch Dogs system requirements tool and see if you can run it on your PC.

medium settings with AA off . this game needs FX-8320 for high settings.the game is very CPU intensive.

I don't think so, you will most likely be stuck at medium.

it's actually your CPU holding you back more than your GPU for this specific game so changing your resolution will most likely not get you to high :(

ok thats fine but a 6300? man this game is demanding. lol

it is demanding, in most games a 6300 is good for ultra.
it wants at least a 8320-8350 for high and wants a 9370 for ultra.

you are right. this is because of the introduction of next-gen consoles. developers are pushing graphics and volumetric physics to the next level.

you will be fine for high in pretty much every next gen game except this one and for those that are too demanding will be on the GPU side so a small reduction to resolution should get you up to high.
this game just has ridiculously high requirements even among next gen games.

no, you cannot run. your CPU, GPU and RAM are all far below the minimums.

a Athlon x4, R7- 2XX or GTX 650 or similar, and an additional 3GB would have you set for pretty much medium to high settings, I honestly doubt a 460 is required to run on low (roughly an HD 7770/HD 6850)

especially at your resolution, something like the 650 or 7750 would be fine along with a quad core CPU. Right now I would not get any of they R7-2XX cards just because the best option for you be in between what they can offer in terms of performance.
XxSoultheKeeperXx's suggestion is quite good.

But now they have delayed the release date to Spring 2014.
Does this mean that 7 months are enough for GTA V ;P

As the release date is pushed forward to next year ubisoft must find a way to decrease this monstrous pc requirements.

I wish the time of the delay will be spent to increase the optimization of the game in order to decrease these specs. I think if these specs remained as they are even at the launch at 2014, everyone will rage.

true, technology doubles every year or every 18 months(according to some stupid law), but doesn't mean people r gonna buy new rigs or upgrade, in the next few months for the game, those who upgrade, are the ones who have already planned for it, irrespective of the game.

it's called moore's law and what says is that the number of transistors on a chip double every 18 months.

It is called Moore's law(as Tjpj said),it is the observation that, over the history of computing hardware, the number of transistors on integrated circuits doubles approximately every two years. The law is named after Intel co-founder Gordon E. Moore
