Underperforming console action-adventure Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is set to finally make its way to PC, following critical acclaim but disappointing sales upon its release three years ago.
Following on from the lacklustre sales, Ninja Theory is releasing a premium edition that will gather up all of the previously released goodies for the game into one bulging pack.
A leaked rating from Australia’s clarification board has let slip that the Premium Edition will be coming the PCs way. Enslaved was a vision of a post-apocalyptic future in a re-imagining of a classic Chinese tale, Journey to the West.
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West picked up some good reviews back in 2010 when it originally released but the public didn’t vote with their wallets, selling just 730,000 copies to date, quite a way shy of the targeted million copies to break even.
It’s easy to see why Ninja Theory is looking to bring this to PC, as well as a PS3 re-release, hoping to gather up a bit more of the cash that was splashed on its top-tier development, including bringing in Gollum actor Andy Serkis to play the main character, Monkey.
