Building on from the huge success of last year's XCOM: Enemy Unknown, this DLC expansion will offer a stack of new abilities, maps, upgrades, weapons and more to the classic XCOM formula.

XCOM: Enemy Within is due out on the 15th November but will you be able to play this version? Lets take a quick look at the XCOM Enemy Within system requirements...

XCOM Enemy Within Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows Vista

CPU: 2 GHz Dual Core - Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or Athlon X2 2.7 GHz

RAM: 2GB Memory

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT / ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT or greater

DX: 9.0

HDD: 20 GB HD space

AUDIO: DirectX Compatible

OTHER: Broadband Internet connection

EXTRA: Requires the base XCOM: Enemy Unknown game to play

XCOM Enemy Within Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 7

CPU: 2.4 GHz Quad Core (Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz or Athlon X4 620)

RAM: 4GB Memory

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9000 series / ATI Radeon HD 3000 series or greater

DX: 9.0

If you managed to get the original game running you should be pretty much bang on the money to get this expansion chugging along. Most of the system specs are relatively modest and tie in almost exactly with the base game, but for those of your aiming for the recommended settings, there has been a fair shift from dual to quad-core processors if you want to see the whites in those little blue aliens eyes.

How does this one fit with you guys? The requirements are light across the board so most people that enjoyed the the original should be able to play it fine.

I should be able to :D I could play the base game fine, assuming the DLC is as well optimized.

Can't wait. Might as well play around with SweetFX and pump things up a little given the "chill" requirements.
