The new Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown trailer is promising to take us right into the danger zone. Once you’ve got the awesomely melodramatic, anime-inspired solo campaign out of the way, Ace Combat 7 is also packing a multiplayer component for some competitive dogfighting.
Ace Combat is back. The anime opera of the skies is all about saving the princess while sat in the cockpit of a fighter jet. Expect ludicrous melodrama, massive aerial battles, and the sort of 360-degree combat which is a rare treat these days. In a nice bonus, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is coming to PC day and date with the console version on 18 January 2019, and here are the PC specs needed to run Ace Combat 7.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown looks like big dumb fun in a way that the usually po-faced flight sims seldom are. Bandai Namco’s fighter jet action game was recently delayed until 2018, but you can keep the buzz going for its distinctly Japanese take on aerial dogfighting with Ace Combat 7’s E3 2017 trailer.
In amongst the excitement of the Square Enix - Marvel collaboration and the announcement of Ni No Kuni II for PC, there also lurked another hidden gem - Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. If you haven’t seen the new trailer then be sure to let your eyes gorge on it toot sweet - this is aerial dogfighting for the next generation, complete with some mighty fine visuals.
