Happy Call of Duty day, folks. Love it or hate, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will almost assuredly become the best selling game of this entire year within a matter of weeks. Infinity Ward has gone back to basics for this reboot of sorts, and it appears from the initial reaction that it may have paid off.
After Nvidia drummed up a whole lot of hype for DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) in the six months since the GeForce RTX 20 series launched, the first few games to support it are now with us. Both Battlefield V and Metro Exodus now support DLSS, although the reception has been mixed, to say the least. Both games exhibit fairly blurry image quality, particularly at lower resolutions.
Mafia 3’s sad, sorry quest to advance from broken mess to a polished product has taken another small step with the arrival of the latest PC patch. If you’ve played Mafia 3 or watched any gameplay footage then you’ve probably noticed the visuals look extremely muddy, even at higher resolutions with AA enabled. This hotfix tackles that, which should lend Mafia 3 PC a much sharper visual quality.
Turtle Rock Studios 4v1 asymmetric multiplayer shooter Evolve is out now, and already thousands of people are no doubt testing their Behemoth skills out an unsuspecting group of hunters. Like too many PC games before it though, Evolve comes with a frame rate cap. So if you were looking to test out that slick new 144Hz monitor you've just splashed out on you'd normally be out of luck.
