The zany looter-shooter, Borderlands 3, is now finally available on Steam. After a 6 month exclusivity deal with Epic Games, the third entry in the cult franchise has made it’s way over to Valve’s most popular online retail store. The new Steam version now comes with cross-platform capability that allows players who own the game on either stores to play with each other, as well as with console players.

We’ve been talking for some time now about how Borderlands 3 would likely end up being a watershed moment for the Epic Games Store and it appears Gearbox’s shooter may well have ended up the game which broke the Epic Store hoodoo.
Borderlands 3, one of the biggest launches of the year, has arrived today, although it's been far from plain sailing. There have been reports of performance struggles, DirectX 12 woes, and all sorts of issues on top of that pesky Epic Games Store exclusivity which will put a few off.
It sounds as if Borderlands 3 has launched today with completely busted DirectX 12 support. Users are reporting firing up the game in DX12 mode either takes a couple minutes to hit the menu screen or gets stuck loading up Borderlands 3 for eternity.
Gears 5 has been available for the past three days for those of you with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, or those who bought the $100 Ultimate Edition. Today is Gears 5’s official launch day though (it’s available on Steam and everything) and that means one thing - new driver time for Nvidia.
