Blizzard has released the first major update for the Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition on both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The Diablo 3 2.1.0 patch adds several new features to the game, including a new area known as The Vault. The players enter The Vault through a portal that is triggered only when Treasure Goblins are defeated. Once through into the mysterious realm players are treated to a wealth of treasures and also a meeting with a brand new boss: the Baroness Greed.
In the face of controversy and despite a fair old whack of fan backlash, Diablo III has still managed to stick two fingers up to the gaming world by shifting fifteen million copies to date. World of Warcraft also managed to stop the rot, posting a slight increase in subscribers as figures reached 7.8 million users.
The hotly anticipated first expansion pack to Diablo III has seen its fair share of time in development, but the ever patient Blizzard has finally revealed the release date for the Diablo III: Reaper of Souls expansion pack.

Diablo III had a rocky start during its launch, with the much-maligned always online requirement collapsing servers and making the game unplayable, and gameplay imbalances even when you could play.
Better late than never as the saying goes. It seems Blizzard is finally answering the calls of the community, and intends to remove it as the main drive for advancing in the game.

RPG fans the world over are tightning their bodkins and polishing their pommels in expectation of Blizzard's click-to-kill hack n slasher Diablo III, but an official release date is still yet to be announced from on high. However, the rumour mill is overflowing with talk of a possible leaked release date of the 17th of January. While this is still far from certain, most of the chin-strokers seem to suspect that it's definitely in the right kind of ballpark.
The fifth and final Diablo III character class was revealed at Blizzcon this morning.
