2020 has not been a great year for a lot of people, and definitely hasn’t been a great year for From Software fans who are eagerly anticipating Elden Ring, the next game by legendary game director Hidetaka Miyazaki in collaboration with George R. R. Martin, the famed writer of the Game of Thrones book series.
It wasn’t that long ago since we first heard the whispers of George R. R. Martin working in collaboration with Dark Souls developers, From Software. Then, after seeing that initial reveal trailer for Elden Ring, everything was looking good for fans of the original soulslike experience. But now it looks as if we may have to wait a little bit longer for any more information about the new title.
UPDATE: Just as expected, FromSoftware revealed Elden Ring during Microsoft's Xbox E3 press conference. A joint project of Hidetaka Miyazaki (Dark Souls, Bloodborne) and George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones), Elden Ring is a pseudo-open-world action-RPG.
