The first juicy details are beginning to spill out in regards to Ghost Games’ Need For Speed 2017. The 2015 reboot was met with a slightly tepid reception, forcing EA and Ghost Games to head back to the drawing board for the sequel. The big takeaway from Ghost Games’ update to fans is that they have listened to criticism, and Need For Speed 2017 will be playable completely offline.
EA has announced ticket sale dates for its upcoming EA Play satellite event which takes place outside of the E3 2017 show floor proper. You’ll be able to grab tickets on April 20th for the event which takes place from June 10-12 in Hollywood. Obviously the number of people who can actually attend is going to be strictly limited. that plays second fiddle to what EA has in store for the event, announcing it will have both Star Wars Battlefront 2 and a new Need for Speed playable for attendees at EA Play.
Earlier this week, EA gave us a bit of a taster of the five different disciplines which will earn you reputation in Need For Speed. There's different ways to play - Speed, Style, Build, Crew, and Outlaw. What EA didn't touch on however was the racing superstars you would be doing all this with. 
The hot balmy British summer is nearly behind us. As the weather turns from summer rain into winter rain we are pushed deeper into our gaming dens. And as if the Game Publishers recruit psychics to work out the exact dates we can no longer venture outside, the year's big games start to form an orderly release queue.
