The most recently updated version of Tekken 7 is suffering frame rate drops on PC while using certain moves, such as Akuma’s ‘Shakunetsu Hadouken’. However, Tekken 7 director, Katsuhiro Harada, has said this isn’t an issue with graphics or CPU processing, placing the blame squarely on “problem with encryption program.”
We’ve got a bit of a fighting game round-up or you now as three new characters have been revealed, one each for Street Fighter V, Tekken 7 and Dragon Ball FighterZ. Street Fighter V and the newly launched Tekken 7 are obviously in direct competition now, vying for players’ time in a genre that practically demands dedication to a single game. In a bit of tit for tat, Bandai Namco announced the arrival of Geese Howard (from SNK’s Fatal Fury fighting series) to Tekken 7, before Capcom announced Abigail (from Final Fight) for SFV. Confused? Bear with me.
Denuvo anti-tamper DRM continues its ever greater fall into the abyss with the dual cracking of both Tekken 7 and Dishonored 2. Tekken 7 is likely the more worrying of the two for Denuvo. Bandai Namco’s fighter now holds the dubious honour of being the fastest cracked Denuvo game ever, holding out for just four days. This is quicker even than Resident Evil 7 and Rime’s five days.
Intel has just delivered its latest Windows graphics driver, version (deep breath) 15.45.19.4678, making some impressive claims as to the performance of its CPUs with integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 or better. For those of you making do without a dedicated graphics card, this iGPU driver update provides performance optimisations for a host of AAA titles, including Dirt 4 and Tekken 7, while those with Intel Iris Pro Graphics will be able to run Prey and Rising Storm 2: Vietnam.
It’s probably now bigger news when a AAA game doesn’t use Denuvo Anti-Tamper technology, so it comes as little surprise to hear that both Tekken 7 and Agents of Mayhem will utilise the controversial form of DRM.
Nvidia has just released its latest GeForce 382.33 graphics card driver, which includes day one Game Ready optimisations for the upcoming Tekken 7 and the VR exclusive Star Trek Bridge Crew. This should ensure the best possible gaming experience in these titles if you’re using GeForces graphics hardware.
Roger (and his son Roger Jr) the boxing kangaroos have been Tekken stapleS for as long as I can remember, but the gloved marsupialS won’t be making a return in Tekken 7. Series creator Katsuhiro Harada has said Roger Jr has had to be cut from the Tekken 7 fighting roster due to worries about potential animal activists.
Bandai Namco has announced the worldwide release date for Tekken 7, along with the official Tekken 7 PC system requirements. Originally planned for early 2017, Tekken 7 will now be launching on June 2nd for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’s going to be joined by a season pass and all the usual assorted pre-order gubbins, but it’s the Tekken 7 PC specs we’re really interested in. Bandai Namco isn’t pulling any punches with this either - Tekken 7 seems to be a great looking game and it’s got the system requirements to match.
Tekken’s back, as Bandai Namco announced Tekken 7 with a teaser trailer at the Evolution Championship Series fighting game tournament last night.
