Nothing quite gets the blood pumping like slicing and dicing robotic limbs. The Surge 2 is nearly here; bigger, better, and this time set in the sprawling overworld of Jericho City. Deck13 have been improving their Souls-like formula game by game, and The Surge 2 has every chance of being a fantastic sci-fi riff on the genre. Before you grab your laser lance and start decking cyborgs though, here are the PC specs required for The Surge 2.
The Surge 2 is one of those games where there’s not much to say about it really, is there? It’s a sequel in the most faithful sense. Perhaps too faithful, looking more like an old-school expansion pack than anything which dramatically changes what’s come before. 
Focus Home Interactive and Deck13 have recently dropped a new trailer for The Surge 2. ‘Overcome. Upgrade. Survive.’, this trailer is a fairly standard overview of what’s in store from the sci-fi Souls-like sequel. We get treated to a whole bunch of new environments, enemy types, and one or two boss battles thrown into the mix as well.
Brutal sci-fi action sequel The Surge 2 has made its obligatory E3 appearance. Deck 13 and Focus Home Interactive’s open-ended action-RPG amps the original's brutality with its advanced limb-ripping mechanics and self-evolving nanobeasts.
Sci-fi Souls-like sequel The Surge 2 will be coming to PC and consoles on September 24th, developer Deck 13 has just confirmed.
If you’ve polished up your run through Sekiro and you’re hankering after some more ultra-hard combat, Deck13’s The Surge 2 appears to be nearing completion. A whole bunch of new in-engine screenshots for this sci-fi flavoured take on Souls-like combat have been revealed.
The Surge may only be just over a year old but developer Deck 13 is already deep into development of The Surge 2, the upcoming sequel due out in 2019.
For fans of Dark Souls who a hankering for sci-fi action, Deck13 Interactive’s The Surge was a damn good pretender. It wasn’t quite on the level of a Souls game, but it was a hell of an effort.
Deck13’s Souls-like The Surge evidently did well enough to warrant a sequel, with the developer announcing a renewal of its partnership with publisher Focus Home Interactive. Together, they’ll be working on releasing The Surge 2 on PC and consoles in 2019.
