Today’s the first time I’ve checked in on Battlefield V this week and I was surprised to see it’s been updated with a time-limited new game mode - Grind.
With the Firestorm battle royale mode just days away, DICE has released an updated content roadmap for Battlefield V detailing what will be coming our way over the next six or so months.
Last week we were treated to a cinematic look at Battlefield V's imminent Firestorm battle royale mode, and that's all well and good, but what we really wanted to see was what the game looks like in action.
Schedule to launch at some point this month, the tutorial trailer for Battlefield V’s upcoming Firestorm battle royale has leaked. And look, I know you’re probably sick to death of battle royale by now but have you got room for just one more?
It’s time to get prepped for Metro Exodus, the new graphical behemoth that looks like it’s set to become the next Crysis of benchmark tests. Nvidia has dropped the GeForce 418.91 Game Ready Driver, bringing day one performance optimisations for the eagerly anticipated post-apocalyptic FPS.
DICE is gearing up for the next major update to Battlefield V, and interest for Nvidia fans comes by way of the introduction of DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) support.
Battlefield V has sold 7.3 million copies since its November 9th launch but the bean counters at Electronic Arts aren’t at all happy with the results having had “high expectations” for the franchise. Sales of Battlefield 5 fell some way short of EA’s forecasted results; in-house projections pointed towards 8.3 million unit sales.
DICE has dropped the official trailer for Lightning Strikes, the next season of content coming Battlefield V’s way. Tides of War Chapter 2 - Lightning Strikes is due to kick off on January 17th and includes a trio of modes, map updates, new vehicles, weapons, and company gear.
UPDATE: And so the Battlefield V merry-go-round continues. DICE has now announced it will be totally reverting all of its Time to Kill changes and we'll be right back where we started.
And then there were six. This is where things really start heating up as our six champions now go head to head an effort to reach the final. We've separated the wheat from the chaff (*sniff* goodnight Monster Hunter, my sweet prince) and things are about to get serious in the 12 Games of Christmas 2019. It's the Semi-Finals and it's Battlefield V versus God of War.
Is it that time again? It's been a whirlwind year but we're already barreling toward Chrimbo. And on GD, that can only mean one thing - the return of the 12 Games of Christmas. Toot the horns, bang the drums. Make a big a song and dance.
