I've had this phone for more than a year, I've recently updates my OS to 2.3.7 version since i got tired of the 2.1 (standard) The battery can go out real quick if I play games for too long or if I leave Wi-Fi on but if I use it for texting, calls it can last for 2-3 days. But I don't really think a lot about the battery because always when I get home I plug my phone in to power it up.
It's a shame that they didn't put in a better cpu in this phone - sometimes it gets kind of slow :/

Had my X8 for about a year now and I have to say I am ashamed. It loses power for no reason at all, every single knock or bump (from little to hard) it will turn off and restart itself.
I should really go back to a Nokia…at least then I know there is not chance of it being damaged.

Use a good gingerbread rom, use the SmartassvV2, use a little swap and kill the unnecessary processes as Demontool said and you will be golden.
