Samsung Galaxy SIII 16GB Review

The Samsung Galaxy S III is a multi-touch, slate-format smartphone designed, developed, and marketed by Samsung Electronics that runs the Android operating system. It has additional software features, expanded hardware, and a redesigned physique from its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S II. The S III employs an intelligent personal assistant (S Voice), eye-tracking ability, increased storage, and a wireless charging option. Depending on country, the 4.8-inch (120 mm) smartphone comes with different processors and RAM capacity, and 4G LTE support. The device was launched with Android 4.0.4 "Ice Cream Sandwich", and can be updated to Android 4.1.2 "Jelly Bean". The phone's successor, the Samsung Galaxy S4, was announced on March 14, 2013 and was released the following month.

It is highly recommended that you check the S5 first, because the look and feel of the S5 is very different from the other Galaxy phones. I have seen a lot of people complaining about the phone. You should demo the phone or something, but so far I think you would be better with the S4! ;)

significantly better performance, partially worse ui, it forces widgets on lock screen that i really hate because i like everything simple, there's notification bar on lock screen aswell… double clock which is unecessary so i removed the big one but there's still the alarm that appears there and i can't remove it, i will try an alarm application and see if i get rid of that alarm aswe this is the only con for now, the transparent notification bar is a big + imo dunno what ota means, i updated by going to settings -> about device -> soft update

i always had hangs, with 4.0, 4.1.2 and 4.3… it's not something new, the battery lasts longer for me, i used to end the day with 40% battery with only listening to music 6-7 hours, today i used the phone to google around for one hour and listened to music meantime aswell and the battery is only at 57% right now, i don't play games too often, i either get bored, either play too much and use the batery and run out of music :(, brightness adjustement is on auto, i'm not using yahoo/facebook/twitter or such, only the email stays open all the time

my battery saver eats only 9.2 mb of ram right now, i can sacrifice that much for the internet management, i don't want to always keep in mind to turn things on and off, i want as many things as possible to be automatic

DS battery saver 2.0, I've rooted and upgraded to 4.4.2 with cyanogen 11 ROM, happy with it so far, better than what Samsung has to offer, it voids the warranty tho

well, the ui is different too.. and you can overclock and undervolt which is good for battery life and performance too, lack of bloatware.. etc, i've rooted because i've had this phone for 1 year… i doubt that it will break unless i throw and break it

Just upgraded to this, previously had the Iphone 4 (before that was the Droid 2, black berry storm 2, another black berry, the alias) and the Galaxy SIII blows the iPhone out of the water. By far the best cell phone I've had.
